Closing Disclosure

The Closing Disclosure, often abbreviated as CD, is a key document prepared by your lender that provides key information such as your interest rate, projected payments, prepayment penalty and balloon payment information, as well as a breakdown of other costs such as origination charges, appraisal fees, credit reporting fees, and all other associated costs of the loan. By law, lenders are to provide this to you no later than three days before closing on the loan.
